About The Position

Acme Metal Spinning Inc is seeking a skilled Metal Spinner for a hands-on manufacturing role in Minneapolis, MN. The role works with tooling, mandrels, and fixtures, interprets technical documents, measures finished parts, maintains equipment, and contributes to production and safety goals in a supportive shop environment.

Requirements

Prior experience in metal spinning, metal fabrication, or a related manufacturing role is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
Proficiency with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high-quality workmanship.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Responsibilities

Operate manual and/or CNC metal spinning lathes to form metal blanks into finished components.
Select and set up appropriate tooling, mandrels, and fixtures for each job.
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to meet specifications.
Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on spinning equipment.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with shop safety standards.
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and quality goals.
