About The Position

As a Metal Packer, you'll play a critical role in making sure every coil and slab leaves our facility in excellent condition safely packaged, accurately documented, and ready for delivery. This is a hands-on plant role with exposure to heat, noise, moving equipment, and forklift traffic. Required PPE includes safety glasses and safety shoes.

Responsibilities

Inspect aluminum products for surface quality, proper dimensions, and packaging readiness
Safely wrap, strap, and label finished coils and slabs according to customer specifications and company guidelines
Prepare packaging materials, including protective wraps, corner boards, skids, and strapping systems
Accurately record product counts, sizes, and packaging details for inventory and shipping documentation
Coordinate with production and shipping teams to prioritize packaging schedules and meet delivery deadlines
Operate a forklift to move finished products to storage or loading areas
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area
Identify and promptly report product defects, safety hazards, or equipment issues
Follow all company safety policies, standard operating procedures, and quality standards
Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in cross-training as needed
