About The Position

This role involves finishing metal parts to meet cosmetic guidelines using various equipment and hand tools. The position requires attention to detail in quality checks, weld adherence, and cosmetic standards to ensure a high-quality product. The Metal Finisher/Spot Welder will also be responsible for maintaining equipment and adhering to all company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations. Collaboration with teammates and internal customers is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

• Ability to frequently stand and walk.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work overtime if needed.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read and understand calipers, tape measures, squares, protractors and use of fixtures required to perform job function.
• Ability to handle and position work with fixtures and regulate heat, and filler rod as required by AWS standards.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in metal finishing or spot welding.
• Familiarity with AWS standards.

Responsibilities

• Finishes parts to conforming cosmetic guidelines using electric, pneumatic, buffing equipment or other hand tools.
• Reports problems with quality, processes, equipment, safety issues and materials to the Team Leader.
• Complies with all policies/procedures, quality standards, and safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains operator PMs for equipment.
• Reads and understands calipers, tape measures, squares, protractors and uses fixtures required to perform job function.
• Handles and positions work with fixtures and regulates heat, and filler rod as required by AWS standards.
• Responsible for all in process quality checks, weld adherence testing, and cosmetics guidelines to ensure quality product being fabricated.
• Develops working relationships with other teammates and internal customers.
