About The Position

This position is responsible for processing metal components to meet specific standards, which includes tasks such as cleaning, deburring, polishing, strengthening, and finishing to the correct size. The role involves operating and monitoring various metal processing and finishing equipment, maintaining accurate processing reports, and transporting materials. The incumbent will also be responsible for adhering to safety procedures and maintaining a neat work area.

Requirements

• Experience & qualifications
• Receive instructions from Supervisors and follow routing tickets.
• Implement manufacturing specifications.
• Use semi-complicated gauging equipment and computer operated interface panels with graphic displays.
• Complete SPC requirements.
• Perform mathematical computations involving decimals.
• Make routine decisions based on specific criteria to meet manufacturing standards.
• Interpersonal relations require explanation and/or interpretation of information.
• Perform work in accordance with a wide range of safety procedures.
• Heavy physical exertion is required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with fork trucks, hand trucks, hand carts, and elect hoists.
• Experience with lorcos, washers, Jensen Dryers, shot peens, harperizers, swecos, molycote tumbler, Saturn 2900.

Responsibilities

• Process metal components to specifications (e.g., clean, deburr, polish, strengthen, finish to size).
• Load, unload, set-up, operate, and monitor various metal processing and finishing equipment (e.g., lorcos, washers, Jensen Dryers, shot peens, harperizers, swecos, molycote tumbler, Saturn 2900).
• Maintain accurate processing reports.
• Transport material to and from designated areas using appropriate equipment (e.g., fork trucks, hand trucks, hand carts, elect hoists).
• Disassemble/reassemble specific parts on equipment.
• Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Adhere to Global Star Safety Program, including safety rules, practices, and training.
• Take every precaution reasonable for the protection of oneself and coworkers.
• Report all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations, incidents, or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.
