About The Position

Metal Fabricator is responsible for designing and fabricating various components, guards, structures and supports on equipment, machinery, facilities, and infrastructure at manufacturing locations or construction sites.

Requirements

• High School / GED (Vocational or trade school degree in metalworking specialty is a plus)
• Must have a valid driver’s license (CDL license is a plus), and reliable transportation to work
• Certification in MIG welding (TIG Welding is a plus)
• OSHA Certification
• Able to lift (up to 75lbs.) and be physically fit to perform tasks and operate equipment.
• Work independently and diligently with minimal directions, to complete tasks on schedule.
• Communicate well with team members and supervisor.
• Apply creativity to solve problems and contribute to the success of the team.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluation, and design activities: Site / application review, key user review, design, design review with key users and stakeholders, final design, costing, approval. Ensure compliance to all OSHA, regulatory and company standards.
• Perform fabrication activities: Operate all types of power tools, measuring tools, cutting tools, machining tools, metal bending equipment, welders, finishing equipment, …. Remove / demolish and dispose of old structures as needed.
• Install fabrications: Assemble, align, validate / test to ensure installations have been successfully completed and all safety measures implemented.
• Maintain / clean equipment: Storage areas, tools, equipment, service trucks, and facilities.
• Maintain accurate and timely recordkeeping: Work orders, inspection logs, LOTO, confined space, etc….
• Be an effective team member: Always wear PPE and work safely, be an example of good behavior. Follow all work processes and policies. Work cooperatively with co-workers. Productively manage working hours and work schedules to support project schedules.
• Other duties as assigned.
