About The Position

Pen Manufacturing is seeking a Metal Fabrication Detailer to join their team in Anaheim, CA. This full-time role involves serving as the primary point of contact for customers, understanding their needs, and recommending tailored manufacturing solutions. The position also requires assisting in project management, supporting execution with production control and shop floor teams, and leveraging technology to optimize workflows. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of metals manufacturing processes, strong project management skills, and a proven ability to drive sales.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
Deep understanding of machining, sheet metal fabrication, structural welding, and part tolerancing.
Proven success managing projects.
Experience in industrials preferred, but not required.
Experience being a hunter mentality to close sales within deadlines and quotas.
Proficiency in CAD, ERP, CRM, and quoting tools; experience with Paperless Parts is a major plus.
Ability to read technical drawings, assess manufacturability, and offer efficient solutions.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical conversations.
Resourceful and strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced, high-precision environments.
Proven ability to aggressively pursue and close sales opportunities, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.

Nice To Haves

Experience in industrials preferred, but not required.
Experience with Paperless Parts is a major plus.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, building long-term relationships.
Understand client needs and recommend tailored manufacturing solutions.
Manage an existing book of business while pursuing new leads and growth opportunities.
Represent Pen Manufacturing with professionalism, technical confidence, and integrity.
Assist in developing timelines, budgets, and schedules to align with customer expectations.
Work cross-functionally with production control and shop floor teams to ensure job requirements are met.
Monitor project progress and provide proactive communication and solutions for any obstacles.
Leverage CRM, ERP, and project management systems (Salesmate, Asana, Fulcrum) to improve workflow and client communication.
Continuously look for process improvements to reduce turnaround time and increase quoting accuracy.
Stay current with manufacturing trends, materials, and technologies to bring innovative solutions to customers.
