About The Position

This role involves driving a bank-owned vehicle to deliver interoffice mail, documents, packages, and supplies between various office locations, branches, and potentially vendors. The position also includes ensuring the safety of the bank's surroundings, managing inventory of received materials, and performing basic maintenance on the delivery vehicle. The messenger will operate company vehicles safely and legally, and assist with other related duties as needed.

Requirements

High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required.
Good Writing and Communication Skills.
Comprehension of the English language (handling correspondence).
Basic PC skills required.
Ability to get along with others.
Valid NYS driver license.

Nice To Haves

A knowledge of Excel and Word is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

Drive to New Hyde Park warehouse to pick up bank owned vehicle used to deliver interoffice mail.
Pick up and deliver documents, packages, and other items between offices, and vendors if needed.
Pick-up supplies to be delivered requested by load sheet and ensure all items are accounted for and ensure items are delivered securely and confidentially when required.
Drive to the Main Office to pick up interoffice mail and any other supplies and marketing materials to ensure timely delivery to the branches.
Drive to each branch on the assigned route to deliver mail and pick up any outgoing mail from the branches.
Respond to adverse weather conditions (snow, rain) by ensuring that the banks surroundings are kept in a safe condition.
Receive deliveries and ensure that materials and supplies are properly inventoried.
Report any issues, delays, or traffic problems to supervisors.
Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the delivery vehicle (if applicable).
Operate company-provided vehicles in a safe and legal manner.
Help out when necessary by performing other related duties which may be necessary from time to time.
