About The Position

This position is contingent upon contract award. The Marine Expeditionary Force (MESF) Curriculum Management Support Subject Matter Expert (SME) supports Maritime Expeditionary Security Group ONE (MESG ONE) Force Generation Professional Support Services at Navy Outlying Field Imperial Beach, California. MESG ONE develops and generates trained Maritime Expeditionary Security Force units for operational employment throughout the Navy's numbered fleets. The MESF Curriculum Management Support SME develops, maintains, and refines curriculum and training materials supporting MESF operational readiness. The SME analyzes Navy, joint, and MESF doctrine and requirements to ensure Courses of Instruction (COIs), Unit Level Training (ULT), and associated training materials remain aligned with operational objectives, qualification standards, and Navy Tactical Tasks.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of operational, training, and readiness experience involving warfare qualification
  • Minimum 3 years of practical Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) experience in content planning and authoring instructional material, obtained within the last 5 years
  • Minimum 3 years of MESF experience as a uniformed service member or Government contractor, obtained within the last 5 years
  • Minimum 5 years of Navy expeditionary-relevant operational, training, and readiness experience
  • For one of the two positions: Significant Fleet engineering expertise
  • Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Operational, training, and readiness experience within an expeditionary community
  • For the position requiring significant Fleet engineering expertise, experience comparable to an Engineering Duty Officer (EDO) or an Engineman (EN), E-6 or above
  • Fluency in the use of civilian and/or Government artificial intelligence (AI) assistance tools

Responsibilities

  • Analyze MESF directives, service warfighting publications, Navy Tactical Reference Publications (NTRPs), and joint doctrine to develop, refine, and maintain MESG ONE training curricula and support materials
  • Develop and maintain COIs, ULT, and associated training materials
  • Ensure MESG ONE curricula remain aligned with joint force OPLAN objectives, MESF qualification standards, and Navy Tactical Tasks (NTAs)
  • Support curriculum maintenance and development for: Embarked Security Combat Skills, Expeditionary Security, Close Quarters Tactics, Patrol Boat Operations – Basic, Patrol Boat Operations – Intermediate, Tactical Operations Center
