About The Position

The MES Technician will be responsible for authenticating analytical data, directing and coordinating daily operations of MES functions, and serving as a key user in the design, implementation, and development of the MES program. This role involves maintaining data accuracy of inventory in the MES system, communicating with Plant Supervisors and Managers regarding the production schedule, and acting as a liaison between departments to communicate production needs. The technician will also assist in the evaluation of MES data and prepare production process orders.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software applications.
Visibility of work requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information.
Must coordinate last-minute project-based work details.

Nice To Haves

Experience that provided exposure and understanding of production planning and inventory control is preferred.

Responsibilities

Authenticates analytical data to ensure accuracy prior to closing production orders.
Directs and coordinates the daily operations of the MES functions in regard to facility operations.
Key user in the design, implementation, and development of the MES program.
Maintains the data accuracy of inventory in the MES system.
Communicates with Plant Supervisors and Managers regarding the production schedule.
Works as a liaison between departments to communicate production needs.
Assists in the evaluation of M.E.S data and cumulative daily production and operational scheduler/reports.
Ensures products are running accordingly to policies and procedures.
Communicates with all departments on any schedule changes within their departments based on WIP and daily M.E.S reporting.
Interprets all data in the M.E.S system for validity. Corrects all data reporting errors in the M.E.S system and paper systems.
Maintains MES main data such as users, shifts, etc.
Prepares production process orders with required approvals at least 24 hours prior (as a working day) to WO starting time.
Organizes necessary yard activities.
Other duties as assigned.
