Mercy Flight Critical Care Technician (Full Time)

About The Position

The Mercy Flight Critical Care Technician provides direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a registered nurse and/or licensed provider. The role supports safe staff and patient transport within Montana in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Montana Ambulance Protocols and CAMTS requirements. The technician also provides personal care and comfort, helps maintain a safe and clean environment, and maintains equipment and supplies. The position requires the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, remain accurate, and adapt to constantly changing situations. The technician must be able to interact with a variety of people, manage stressful situations, and handle conflict. The role may include other duties or tasks as assigned, and requires compliance with licensing-board or agency requirements and Benefis Health System policies and procedures.

Requirements

Licensed EMT at the Basic level or higher.
Basic Life Support (AHA Healthcare BLS) certification.
Valid State of Montana driver's license.
Good driving record.
Ability to meet deadlines, work accurately, and handle pressure and constantly changing situations.
Ability to work with a variety of people, manage stressful situations, and handle conflict.

Responsibilities

Provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a registered nurse and/or licensed provider.
Transport staff and patients safely within Montana in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, Montana Ambulance Protocols, and CAMTS.
Provide personal care and comfort.
Help maintain a safe and clean environment.
Maintain equipment and supplies.
Perform other duties or tasks as assigned.
Follow applicable licensing-board or agency requirements and Benefis Health System policies and procedures.
