About The Position

As a Merchant Services Sales Representative, you will prospect and work with internal referral partners to seek merchant service sales in an agent bank environment, provide professional representation to businesses and their employees offering solutions based on customer needs. You will also be responsible for educating internal partners to seek referrals and with product knowledge. To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to work independently with referrals, customers, and pipeline management. A Day in the Life – Your focus will be working independently to provide pricing and offer solutions to German American customers and prospects including merchant services and related payment products, managing profitability of the sales portfolio within territory, manage projects including terminal updates and customer management, staying current on products and services while maintaining relationship with vendor, and more. You’re Part of a Team – You are a member of the Treasury Management team, which includes providing solutions for all business customers and referral partners, supporting our internal staff with branch huddles and education. Other meetings include Merchant Team meetings and direct meetings with supervisor. You will work with many teams including the retail and commercial teams educating on merchant services and providing solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years in outside B2B sales
  • Outstanding command of prospecting, communication, presentation, and networking skills
  • Experience dealing with small to mid-sized business owners and decision makers

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in Merchant Services preferred
  • Bilingual/Multilingual
  • Knowledge of Banking
