About The Position

The Merchant Services Consultant serves as an expert on payment processing solutions, including Clover POS systems and credit card processing, and builds lasting partnerships with small and medium-sized businesses in the community. The position combines consultative sales and business development with merchant onboarding, support, and training. A background and drug screening are required.

Requirements

• 1–5 years of experience in banking, commercial sales, or payment processing.
• Ability to sell consultatively and build relationships.
• Technical comfort with POS systems and payment technology.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for supporting local business growth.
• Successful completion of a background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Grow the merchant services portfolio through consultative sales and business development.
• Serve as the primary contact for merchants from onboarding through ongoing support and training.
• Analyze competitor pricing and develop proposals that help businesses save money.
• Partner with the commercial banking team to identify opportunities.
• Meet sales targets while ensuring exceptional client satisfaction.
• Stay current on compliance, PCI standards, and payment technology.
