About The Position

The Merchandising Training Instructor conducts training for new merchandisers and acts as a support to Merchandising leadership. The primary responsibility for this role is to effectively teach and instruct new employees on the proper way to execute all functions of merchandising and ensure new hires are well-equipped to meet the company's standards of service excellence. The role requires using effective teaching skills, understanding of merchandising process and technologies, and ABARTA Coca-Cola Beverages safety policies.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 2-3 years of training or coaching experience required.
  • Prior experience in merchandising of consumer products or retail required.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Intermediate computer application and technology skills; knowledge of how to operate a smart phone and/or laptop.
  • Valid Driver's License and driving record within MVR policy guidelines, pallet jack certification as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Learning management system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom style and in-store training for new or existing merchandisers on all aspects of merchandising. Provide training on expectations, service standards, and functional technical knowledge.
  • Monitor employees progress, documents opportunities, perform evaluations and identify gaps. Provide feedback and additional assistance as needed. Communicate with department supervisors and leadership on training progress of new employees.
  • Execute and implement training best practices. Identify and recommend revisions or updates to current curriculum. Maintain and update learning content in ABARTA's learning management system.
  • Coordinate scheduling for training cycles with the Talent Acquisition team. Schedule route coverage for in-market activity as needed throughout the training class duration.
  • Assist Supervisors with field safety audits, incident investigations, mileage reimbursement auditing and retraining.
  • Review timekeeping records, working with TKA and merchandising supervisor to ensure accurate payroll.
  • Other tasks and projects as assigned by department leadership.
  • Follow established company Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality procedures and policies.
  • Actively participate in Hazard Mitigation.
  • Complete assigned Health & Safety trainings.
