About The Position

PrimeSource Building Products is seeking a Merchandising Specialist to independently service retail stores within their assigned region. Requirements

Ability to use mobile ordering cart and/or handheld inventory management device and utilize all functions related to the product line.
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
Knowledge of Internet software, Inventory software, Order processing systems, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
Mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Must maintain a valid driver's license and up-to-date insurance.

Responsibilities

Check open orders and conduct random inventory checks.
Verify barcode compliance.
Update all price labels every 90 days.
Communicate urgent or critical situations to ISSM immediately.
Coordinate merchandise returns with Distribution Centers (DCs) and ISSM.
Execute set up and display of special promotions and new items (e.g., wingstacks, imports, new product rollouts).
Perform store resets, which involves removing all products from display, moving racking, returning product to new display locations, and installing new Point of Purchase (POP) materials and price labels.
Handle new store setup responsibilities, including installation of steel beams (racking), display of the entire product line, obtaining cross-merchandising, installing POP, meeting the store management team, checking on backup orders, and ensuring completion before deadlines.
Requisition merchandise from suppliers based on available space, merchandise on hand, customer demand, or advertised specials.
Work and communicate with ISSM, account managers, customer merchandise service teams, and management to ensure service and projects are executed to standards.
Execute other tasks as assigned by ISSM management.
Participate in relief efforts for natural disasters (hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, fires, etc.) as needed.
Travel outside of territory and spend overnights to assist with special projects or cover an open territory.
