About The Position

The Merchandising Operations Associate is responsible for setting up and maintaining products sold through the 1-800-Flowers family of brands. Accuracy in this process is critical, as it directly impacts how products are presented and sold to customers. This role includes responding to and actioning all emails in a timely manner related to daily business operations, as well as communicating any changes to management, SOPs, or other established processes.

  • Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute with 100% accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Understand and execute product setup and maintenance functions
  • Partner with Product Development and Merchandising teams to implement and verify product updates, including: Retail pricing, Product names, Ship dates and methods, Bill of Materials (BOM), Product recipes
  • Collaborate with Inventory and Planning teams to execute and verify: Vendor, product, and component shutoffs, Order moves and rejects
  • Work with the Vendor Relations team to adjust vendor cutoff times or process shutoff requests
  • Communicate product changes and stock issues across the organization (pricing, shipping, naming, out-of-stock updates, etc.)
  • Balance daily responsibilities with time-sensitive and urgent requests, including: Product and component code setup in Oracle, Assignment of new vendors to active products
  • Ensure work is completed efficiently, accurately, and within established timelines
  • Manage time effectively while handling multiple priorities
  • Meet departmental goals for completion time and validation accuracy
  • Participate in departmental quality assurance processes
  • Coordinate data from multiple sources and verify data integrity
