About The Position

The Merchandising Manager drives merchandising and operational execution, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards. The role ensures accurate pricing, timely promotional execution, and a customer-ready store environment through effective workload planning and inventory management. The manager assists the Store Manager with operational leadership, provides Manager-on-Duty coverage, and leads merchandise processing, replenishment, merchandising, fulfillment, and inventory-control routines. They also train and develop team members, support asset protection, and help maintain a clean, organized, safe, and customer-ready store.

Requirements

At least 3 years of retail leadership experience.
Ability to remain standing for long periods and move throughout the store.
Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull merchandise and fixtures weighing up to 25–50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to climb ladders or step stools to stock and retrieve products.
Ability to perform repetitive motions, including scanning items, stocking shelves, and operating POS equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent customer interactions.
Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Responsibilities

Assist the Store Manager in leading adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and company programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
Ensure execution of company policies and standards, holding the team accountable for store conditions and results.
Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership, service standards, and operational continuity.
Lead truck execution, including timely unloading, accurate sorting, and efficient movement of merchandise to the sales floor.
Plan workloads and prioritize daily tasks with store leadership, aligning staffing and execution to business needs.
Execute and maintain Store-In-Stock Optimization routines to support in-stock levels, replenishment accuracy, and sales readiness.
Oversee planogram execution, ensuring merchandising sets are accurate and completed on schedule.
Establish and maintain visual merchandising standards, including product placement and presentation.
Support a clean, organized, and customer-ready store, including backroom organization and sales-floor recovery.
Manage inventory control to ensure product accuracy, integrity, and efficient stock movement.
Execute ad sets and ensure promotional signage and product placement are compliant and customer-focused.
Complete price changes accurately and on time, maintaining pricing integrity on the sales floor and in systems.
Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment, ensuring orders are picked, packed, and shipped efficiently and accurately.
Process Return to Vendor items and ASN receiving, ensuring compliance, accurate documentation, and proper inventory adjustments.
Manage store damage procedures, including proper handling and reporting, to help reduce shrink.
Train, coach, and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building across assigned departments.
Partner in maintaining asset protection practices and reducing shrink through awareness, compliance, and safe operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
