About The Position

The Merchandising Internship program introduces interns to Bunge’s value chains and teaches them how to create sales and growth in the marketplace. Interns develop arbitrage and risk management skills to help reach and exceed profitability goals in the grain industry. The internship location will be determined from the listed locations, and candidates must be willing to relocate for the internship.

Bunge connects farmers to consumers and moves agricultural commodities to where they are needed. The company operates in grain origination, storage, distribution, oilseed processing and refining, and offers plant-based oils, fats, and proteins. Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree or MBA program in Agribusiness, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Professionally aggressive and self-motivated.
• Able to function in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to deliver customer excellence.
• Must be willing to relocate for the internship.

Nice To Haves

• Junior status in university is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proactively develop and cover existing sales and supplier accounts.
• Develop prospective accounts.
• Gain market knowledge and insight through ongoing communication with product suppliers, customers, and transportation vendors.
• Facilitate and schedule logistics for timely product delivery by barge, rail, and truck.
• Obtain and develop merchandising skills as a foundation for the future.
• Improve Bunge’s outcomes by making data-driven decisions, keeping customers at the forefront, and proactively gaining insight into global strategy.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with others.
• Pursue opportunities to solve problems and take action while managing work.
