About The Position

In this role, you will provide day-to-day administrative support, including data entry, to the merchandising team across mattress and accessories categories, as well as our DTC brands. You will support stores by responding to associate questions via email regarding pricing and promotions. Additionally, you will assist in preparing information and data for weekly, monthly, and annual meetings. You will liaise with Supply Chain to obtain complete information required for the Product Supply department to enter products into systems and stores, and provide support with the addition of new products to our line by investigating products as directed. You will work with Supply Chain and Sales teams on discontinued schedules and new product rollouts. You will also prepare event and everyday price tag files and work with the printing service provider to ensure promotional and regular price tags are accurate and delivered on time to all stores. Furthermore, you will prepare and maintain sales support documents, including cost sheets and spiff tables, with high accuracy and make them accessible on SharePoint. You will develop and document efficient workflows, creating clear and accessible Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support the Merchandising team and ensure consistency across processes. As directed, you will communicate product launches, details of products, and new initiatives. You will execute the delivery of packaging, store displays, signage, and POP materials. You will also support the development of product knowledge for all applicable departments and obtain and organize all necessary Sales Product Knowledge for all applicable departments, ensuring current information is accessible on SharePoint.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years’ previous merchandising, or operations administrative experience in a retail environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and can effectively collaborate and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, organization and time management skills and ability to manage and prioritize conflicting priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong MS Excel Skills (look ups, formulas, pivot table, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • A University/College degree or postgraduate certificate in Merchandising, Business Administration or Logistics, or related field are considered an asset.
  • Previous experience with Storis, Oracle or similar ERP system is an asset.
