About The Position

American Stone is looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on team member to help elevate the experience across our retail yards. This role sits at the intersection of merchandising, marketing, and customer experience. You'll help ensure our yards look organized, stocked, priced clearly, and ready to convert customers, whether they're homeowners starting a backyard project or contractors managing large builds. You'll be trading time in the office with the marketing team and on-location in the yards, helping bring our campaigns to life. This is not a desk-only marketing role. Most of your impact will come from executing in our yards, we're talking about organizing, improving, and maintaining real physical spaces that drive sales. You would be a great fit if you are someone with retail or merchandising experience, a self-starter who takes pride in clean, organized, high-functioning spaces. Someone who enjoys improving systems, not just maintaining them.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organized, reliable, and self-motivated
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
  • Basic understanding of marketing, retail, or merchandising
  • Willingness to learn systems and improve processes
  • Able to travel between locations (reliable transportation required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in retail merchandising or store operations
  • Familiarity with construction, landscaping, or building materials
  • Experience with inventory or pricing systems

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve yard layout and product displays across locations
  • Execute in-yard marketing campaigns (signage, displays, layout) and ensure they are clearly understood and consistently implemented across locations
  • Ensure pricing signage is clear, accurate, and consistently displayed
  • Help create a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for customers
  • Perform regular yard audits
  • Own merchandising standards across locations and hold stores accountable through regular audits and reporting
  • Execute pricing updates and signage accuracy
  • Learn and support products and pricing in Odoo
  • Help maintain pricing consistency between physical yard and digital catalog
  • Travel between Utah locations regularly
  • Assist with inventory counts or product organization
  • Help build simple systems (templates, signage standards, checklists)
