About The Position

Admiral Beverage is seeking a Merchandiser to display beverage merchandise on shelves, showcases, and the sales floor of retail stores. This role involves arranging products according to a plan, placing price signs, transferring product from stock rooms to displays to manage 'Sell By' dates and optimize stock, and ordering product to prevent out-of-stocks. The Merchandiser will also develop display ideas, communicate with store personnel about service and product needs, and construct display aids using company-provided Point of Sale materials. Other duties may be assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must meet company driver qualifications.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to perform basic functions of math in all units of measure and formats and to interpret rate, ratio, percent, and graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Frequently required to talk or hear.
Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 70 pounds unassisted and occasionally lift/or move objects weighing up to 100 pounds using a hand-truck or other manual lifting device.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Arranges products according to prearranged plan or own ideas approved by management.
Places price and descriptive signs on backdrop, fixtures, merchandise, or floor.
Transfers product from customer stock room to floor displays to comply with "Sell By" dates, maximize product in store and minimize product in stock room.
Orders product for assigned accounts in accordance with established procedures to ensure no out-of-stocks conditions.
Originates display ideas or follows suggestions or schedule of Merchandiser Manager and Sales Manager.
Communicate effectively daily with key store personnel on any service or product needs.
Constructs or assembles display aids from company provided Point of Sale (POS) materials.
Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.
