About The Position
The Merchandiser displays beverage merchandise on shelves, showcases, and retail sales floors. The role arranges products according to a prearranged plan or ideas approved by management, and places price and descriptive signs on fixtures, merchandise, backdrops, or floors. It transfers products from customer stock rooms to floor displays to comply with “Sell By” dates, maximize in-store product, and minimize stockroom inventory. The Merchandiser orders products for assigned accounts under established procedures to prevent out-of-stocks, develops or follows display ideas and schedules, communicates daily with key store personnel about service or product needs, and assembles display aids using company-provided Point of Sale materials. Other duties may be assigned by a supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Arrange products according to a prearranged plan or management-approved ideas.
- Place price and descriptive signs on backdrops, fixtures, merchandise, or floors.
- Transfer products from customer stock rooms to floor displays to comply with “Sell By” dates, maximize in-store product, and minimize stockroom inventory.
- Order products for assigned accounts according to established procedures to prevent out-of-stock conditions.
- Originate display ideas or follow suggestions or schedules from the Merchandiser Manager and Sales Manager.
- Communicate daily with key store personnel about service or product needs.
- Construct or assemble display aids using company-provided Point of Sale materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
