About The Position

ABARTA Coca-Cola Beverages is hiring a Merchandiser to work in local stores, keeping Coca-Cola products fully stocked and maintaining product availability and merchandising at designated accounts. The role includes stocking and presenting products, managing backroom inventory, following safety and company/store policies, and providing customer service to consumers and store personnel. The job description notes that it may not include every duty associated with the position.

The position requires use of manual and powered equipment, a mobile device, and a motor vehicle. The employee must provide and maintain a personal vehicle for use during working hours. Physical requirements include repeatedly handling and moving product, standing at least six hours and walking at least four miles during the workday. Employment is contingent on a pre-employment background verification, which may include drug screening and review of driving records.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must have a valid driver's license and current vehicle liability insurance.
• Must have a driving record with no major moving violations in the past three years.
• Must provide and maintain a personal vehicle for use during working hours.
• Must be able to repeatedly push and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance while kneeling, squatting, reaching, and bending.
• Must be able to repeatedly push and pull manual transport equipment carrying product loads at least 100 yards without assistance.
• Must be able to repeatedly grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Must be able to exert physical effort over sustained periods to complete job activities.
• Must be able to read small, medium, and large print.
• Must be able to stand at least six hours and walk at least four miles during the workday.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in replenishment or as a merchandiser.
• One year of experience in grocery, retail, consumer goods, warehousing, or a related field.
• One year of experience in a physically demanding field such as construction, food service, landscaping, manufacturing, military, nursing, or a related area.
• One year of experience using manual or powered pallet jacks.
• Straddle stacker certification.
• Powered pallet jack certification.
• One year of experience working under little or no supervision.
• One year of college coursework in business, marketing, communication, or a related area.

Responsibilities

• Maintain products in store racks, shelves, displays, and coolers by identifying replenishment needs; transport products from backrooms to display floors; replenish, face, and rotate products; build, change, and remove displays; maintain signage; clean product spaces; and secure damaged or defective products.
• Manage backroom inventory by organizing and consolidating backstock, monitoring and reporting inventory levels, processing damaged or defective products, repacking products, organizing backroom materials, completing store documentation, and cleaning the backroom.
• Operate manual equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, as well as powered equipment such as straddle stackers and powered pallet jacks.
• Maintain assigned areas by communicating status and concerns to store and company personnel, identifying and reporting unsafe conditions, completing company training and certifications, and following company and store policies and applicable laws.
• Use a mobile device to complete work activities and operate a motor vehicle.
• Follow company Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality policies and procedures, participate in Hazard Mitigation, and complete assigned Health & Safety training.
• Provide customer service by answering questions, locating products, and responding to requests for assistance.
