The Merchandiser displays beverage merchandise on shelves, showcases, and retail sales floors. The role arranges products, places price and descriptive signs, moves products from stock rooms to floor displays to manage sell-by dates and inventory, and orders product for assigned accounts to prevent out-of-stocks. The Merchandiser develops display ideas or follows guidance from the Merchandiser Manager and Sales Manager, communicates daily with key store personnel about service or product needs, and assembles display aids using company-provided point-of-sale materials. Other duties may be assigned by a supervisor. There are no supervisory responsibilities. The role is based in Logan, Utah. It requires a high school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination. The employee must meet company driver qualifications. Some states require employees to be at least 21 years old when promoting, merchandising, and delivering alcoholic beverages. The position involves regular standing, walking, handling or feeling objects, reaching, and lifting or moving up to 70 pounds without assistance. Occasionally, the employee may need to climb, balance, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift or move objects weighing up to 100 pounds using a hand truck or other manual lifting device. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, and the work environment is usually moderately noisy.
