About The Position

The Merchandiser stocks and organizes products in assigned store accounts to support product availability and sales. The role includes stocking and rotating products on shelves and in coolers, setting up displays, organizing backroom storage, and moving products from storage to the sales floor. Merchandisers maintain orderly backroom areas, display merchandise to help increase sales, build store-level customer relationships, and communicate with customers when arriving at and departing from stores. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. The work generally takes place in a store setting. Employees use a tablet or PC, a two-wheel dolly, and a pallet jack. The listed schedule is 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The role may also require flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Sufficient formal or informal education to read and write at the level required for successful job performance.
A valid driver's license and required insurance coverage, except for individuals aged 16 or 17 who report to a single account.
Reliable transportation to and from accounts.
A valid pallet jack and/or forklift certification where necessary.
Knowledge of general merchandising.
Knowledge of customer-service principles and processes.
Basic knowledge of computers and tablets.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to perform miscellaneous job functions within a scheduled timeframe.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable in support of company goals.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to operate a tablet or PC, a two-wheel dolly, and a pallet jack.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting 20+ pounds constantly; carrying and pulling 20+ pounds occasionally; and walking, reaching, and standing for the stated portions of work time.

Responsibilities

Merchandise store shelving, coolers, and displays with products in assigned accounts.
Rotate products in the backroom and on shelves.
Transport products between the backroom and shelf locations.
Maintain orderly backroom and back-stock areas.
Display merchandise in a manner intended to increase sales.
Build customer relationships at the store level.
Communicate with the customer upon arrival at and departure from the store.
Perform other duties as necessary.
