About The Position

T.J. Sheehan Distributing is hiring a Merchandiser to cover the Onondaga County territory. Merchandisers stock, rotate, and properly display products in customer accounts after products have been sold and delivered, helping consumers shop and enjoy the products. The role involves working independently, working on-premise for every shift, and being accountable for achieving goals. Successful team members can develop the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to become a Sales Representative.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Previous experience working in retail.
• Ability to fulfill the physical demands of the job.
• Excellent oral, written, and open communication skills.
• Flexibility with schedule, as days can vary.
• Valid driver's license with active auto insurance.
• Ability and willingness to work independently.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rotate products and follow code policy.
• Display products according to Company standards.
• Install and maintain permanent and paper Point of Sale material.
• Organize and execute floor displays and placement of window neons and banners at accounts.
• Organize and execute cooler resets according to Company standards.
• Maintain a regular schedule of weekly appointments with accounts in the assigned area.
• Be on-premise for every shift.
• Develop and maintain effective customer relations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
