The Merchandiser displays beverage merchandise on shelves, showcases, and on the sales floor of a retail store. This role involves arranging products according to a plan or approved ideas, placing price and descriptive signs, and transferring product from stock rooms to floor displays to ensure proper stock rotation and maximize product availability. The Merchandiser is also responsible for ordering product for assigned accounts to prevent out-of-stocks, developing display ideas, and communicating effectively with store personnel regarding service and product needs. Additionally, the role includes constructing display aids from provided Point of Sale materials. Other duties may be assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

Ability to arrange products according to a plan or approved ideas.
Ability to place price and descriptive signs.
Ability to transfer product from stock rooms to floor displays.
Ability to order product for assigned accounts.
Ability to originate display ideas or follow suggestions.
Effective communication skills for daily interaction with store personnel.
Ability to construct or assemble display aids from POS materials.

Responsibilities

Arranges products according to prearranged plan or own ideas approved by management.
Places price and descriptive signs on backdrop, fixtures, merchandise, or floor.
Transfers product from customer stock room to floor displays to comply with "Sell By" dates, maximize product in store and minimize product in stock room.
Orders product for assigned accounts in accordance with established procedures to ensure no out-of-stocks conditions.
Originates display ideas or follows suggestions or schedule of Merchandiser Manager and Sales Manager.
Communicate effectively daily with key store personnel on any service or product needs.
Constructs or assembles display aids from company provided Point of Sale (POS) materials.
Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.
