About The Position

Hallmark is hiring a part-time Merchandiser to service Hallmark departments at various retail stores in Omaha, Nebraska. The role works independently to organize and showcase products, maintain inventory, build relationships with store teams, and represent Hallmark. Merchandisers may also support seasonal resets, installations, and other team members’ territories as needed. On occasion, the role may involve working with other companies’ products in the stores served.

The position averages 13–15 hours per week on a variable schedule during the work week. Additional days and extended hours may be needed around major holidays and seasonal changeovers, including some weekends and, on occasion, the holiday itself. Remodel assignments may also involve evenings or weekends. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Starting pay is $15.00–$17.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases, and part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits.

The work takes place on retail selling floors and in stockrooms and is physically demanding. It requires frequent pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying, as well as standing, walking, kneeling, and squatting; stairs and step ladders may also be involved. A Hallmark-provided mobile device is used for merchandising tasks and communication.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Be available for a variable part-time schedule, with additional availability around holidays and seasonal changeovers; some work may include weekends, evenings, or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory in and outside assigned store departments.
• Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device to perform daily work, communicate with a supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required surveys.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels.
• Support seasonal demand with additional service days or extended hours around holidays.
• Participate in seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
• Work with a team on tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
