About The Position

Imperial is seeking a Merchandiser to join their Market team. This role is responsible for delivering and selling refreshments and merchandise to customers, ensuring World Class Service. The ideal candidate will have convenience store, retail, or grocery store experience. This position involves analyzing products to determine customer needs, maximizing sales, reducing spoils, and merchandising products to maximize marketing using C-store concept merchandising. The role also includes understanding and assisting with product shrink and loss prevention, designing and implementing plan-o-grams, driving and delivering hot shot orders, and delivering various products such as beverages, snacks, pastries, and fresh refrigerated food. The Merchandiser will also be responsible for lifting and loading product, using a work-issued phone/tablet/computer for inventory and ordering, and maintaining excellent customer service and client interaction.

Requirements

A safe driving record deemed by insurance carrier & valid license (ability to obtain a Class E).
1 + years of relevant work experience.
Willingness to travel everyday to and from the client/customer site in all weather elements, driving a company vehicle.
Ability to work well with people and independently.
Flexibility.
Adaptability to handle other merchandiser tasks that may arise.
Basic computer skills and willingness to learn.
Able to communicate challenges that arise.

Responsibilities

Analyze products to determine customer needs and assist in maximizing sales, reduce spoils using Imperial’s unique sales analysis tools.
Place product to maximize marketing using C-store concept merchandising.
Understand and help with Product Shrink & Loss Prevention.
Design and Implement Plan-o-grams.
Drive and deliver hot shot orders to increase customer needs satisfaction.
Drive company vehicle to deliver product (beverage, snack, pastry, fresh refrigerated food, etc.).
Lift and load product (50 pounds) on & off the vehicle both with and without assistance.
Walk, Sit, Bend at waist and knees, overhead reaching, stooping, stairs, driving.
Use work issued phone/tablet/computer to take inventory and order product.
Be on time and present.
Display Independent judgment to maximize the sales and provide for the needs of the customer.
Work independently and have World Class Customer service and interaction with our customers and clients.
Have direct contact with packaged food items that are for public consumption.
Work closely with operations and Account Managers to maintain World Class Service for our customers.
