About The Position

This position conducts commercial and trading activities associated with grain origination and marketing for a grain elevator or soybean processing facility. The role works with farmers, elevator customers, feed mills, livestock producers, brokers, buyers, and company personnel to originate grain, provide customer service, and market soybean meal and soyhull pellets. It also monitors markets and local competition, supports product loading and contract compliance, and communicates crop, market, and business information.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Agriculture Economics, or a relevant discipline.
1–2 years of relevant experience.
Strong interest in agribusiness, specifically soybean processing and refining operations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with a focus on customer service.
Demonstrated problem-solving, execution, and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience within the agribusiness and/or food industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Communicate with farmers and elevator customers to originate grain and provide customer service.
Proactively serve farmer customers on market information, e-business, bids, hours, grade reporting, and accounting issues, building strong relationships and exceeding expectations.
Communicate with feed mills, livestock producers, brokers, and other buyers to market soybean meal and soyhull pellets.
Create and communicate load order numbers for product loading to customers and internal groups.
Facilitate timely and accurate communication and exchange of business information and market conditions between local and corporate management.
Evaluate changing crop and market conditions and report them to appropriate company personnel in a timely and accurate manner.
Verify overnight markets to protect bids and ensure merchants are updated.
Check local competition and elevator bid structure to ensure Bunge is competitive.
Ensure compliance with contracts.
Update the bid sheet daily and distribute it internally and externally.
Attend all safety meetings.
