About The Position

Hensley Beverage Company is seeking a Merchandiser Crew Lead based out of our Chandler, AZ location to provide daily leadership, coaching, and support to a team of Merchandisers while ensuring company merchandising standards are consistently maintained. This position serves as a working lead responsible for guiding team members, conducting ride-along evaluations, training new employees, monitoring performance, covering open routes and vacations, and ensuring merchandising execution meets Hensley standards. The Merchandiser Crew Lead works closely with Large Format Operations Team Leaders to support team productivity, accountability, and customer satisfaction.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous merchandising, retail, warehouse, beverage, or leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience leading, training, or coaching employees is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily leadership, direction, and support to assigned Merchandiser team members.
  • Communicate throughout the day with Merchandisers regarding routes, expectations, and operational needs.
  • Ensure team members are checked in and prepared for their scheduled shifts.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate new hires to ensure successful onboarding.
  • Conduct ride-along evaluations and provide performance feedback to leadership.
  • Assist with covering open merchandising routes and employee vacations as needed.
  • Monitor team performance and develop improvement plans with Team Leaders.
  • Ensure merchandising standards are consistently followed, including: Product rotation and code date awareness, Shelf stocking and organization, Back stock management, Pallet collection, Safety procedures and company processes.
  • Monitor Hensley Beverage and competitor pricing on shelves and displays and communicate findings to leadership.
  • Complete daily staff and account reports and review updates with the Team Leader.
  • Document employee performance, concerns, and coaching opportunities using appropriate Hensley forms.
  • Communicate team updates and operational concerns to leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
