Part-time Merchandise Sales Associate
About The Position
The Merchandise Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, applying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained across multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; accurately processes customer purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and maintains merchandise presentation and sales-floor standards. The position also includes store recovery, cleanliness, safety awareness, shrink-reduction activities, and other assigned duties.

Responsibilities
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
