About The Position

Planet 13 is seeking a Merchandise Sales Associate to generate sales by providing customers with an exceptional shopping experience. The associate maximizes non-marijuana sales through efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable service, while ensuring the store is neat, clean, and well-presented. The role requires open availability and includes no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with tens and hundreds, including calculations involving American money and measurements of weight, volume, and distance.
• Ability to follow detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions and handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Must possess a Nevada Dispensary agent card and be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have open availability.

Responsibilities

• Professionally assist and advise customers about products and services to help achieve store sales targets.
• Assess customer needs and provide assistance and information about product features.
• Recommend merchandise based on product knowledge and customer preferences.
• Work collaboratively with co-workers to provide outstanding service and support sales.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Remain knowledgeable about products offered and discuss available options.
• Comply with inventory control procedures.
• Follow cash handling policies and procedures.
• Clean display cases, shelves, and aisles.
