About The Position

The Merchandise Sales Associate generates sales by providing customers with an exceptional shopping experience. The role maximizes non-marijuana sales through efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable service, while ensuring the store is neat, clean, and well-presented. The position requires open availability and has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including operations involving American money and measurements of weight, volume, and distance.
• Ability to follow detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions and address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Knowledge of word-processing and spreadsheet software.
• Must possess a Nevada Dispensary Agent Card and be at least 21 years old.
• Must have open availability.
• Ability to regularly walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear; frequently stand and sit; occasionally climb or balance; and regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Close and distance vision.

Responsibilities

• Professionally assist and advise customers about products and services to help achieve store sales targets.
• Assess customer needs and provide assistance and information about product features.
• Recommend merchandise based on product knowledge and customer preferences.
• Support co-workers to ensure outstanding service and sales.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Stay knowledgeable about products and discuss available options.
• Comply with inventory control procedures.
• Follow cash-handling policies and procedures.
• Clean display cases, shelves, and aisles.
