Merchandise Sales Associate
About The Position
As a top Las Vegas dispensary, Planet 13 strives to provide the best quality recreational cannabis, cannabis extracts, and infused products available at competitive prices and with compassion that can only come from those who are knowledgeable in the field. Must have open availability. Generating sales by providing the customer with an exceptional shopping experience. The Sales Associate maximizes non-marijuana sales by delivering efficient, friendly and knowledgeable service and ensuring the store is neat, clean and well-presented at all times.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Knowledge of Word Processing software and Spreadsheet software.
- Must possess a Nevada Dispensary agent card and be 21 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
- Professionally handling and advising customers of products and services resulting in the achievement of store sales targets.
- Assess customer needs and provide assistance and information on product features.
- Recommends merchandise based on product knowledge and customer preferences.
- Work well and support co-workers to ensure outstanding service and sales.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards.
- Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options.
- Comply with inventory control procedures.
- Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures.
- Cleans display cases, shelves, and aisles.
