Temp To Hire - 2nd Shift Selection
About The Position
This is a Temp To Hire position for a Merchandise Processor II on the 2nd shift in the Selection department of a Distribution Center. The role involves picking/packing, inspecting, and shipping merchandise to customers. Key responsibilities include accurate data entry via PC/RF, meeting production (UPH) and quality (IQA) standards, collaborating with team members on process improvements and cost reductions, and reporting to work as scheduled. The position requires the ability to assist in any merchandise processing area during busy periods and to complete other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
Requirements
- Previous PC/RF experience preferred; basic keyboarding skills; computer literate (knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word)
- Distribution center experience preferred
- Basic math skills
- Good hand/eye coordination
- Ability to work independently or in team as assigned
- Quality conscious and detail oriented
- Flexibility - may be required to work in other areas, overtime or extended hours
- Understand and follow verbal or written instructions
- Lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend, stoop and climb for up to 10 hours at a time
- Climb stairs
- Stand for duration of work shift and walk/move continuously
- Work around moving machinery/equipment
- Adjust to climate changes; hot and cold extremes may occur in warehouse
- Perform frequent/reoccurring movement (folding, hanging clothing, wrapping, packing, closing, ticketing, etc.)
- Lift up to 50 pounds several times per day; weight requirements may vary within work areas; perform overhead lifting as necessary
- Work comfortably on open platform/loft areas that are elevated to a second or third story level

- Must be able to assist in any area of merchandise processing during busy periods
