Temp to Hire - Merchandise Processor 2 - Assembly
About The Position
This is a temp-to-hire position for a Merchandise Processor II in Assembly on the 2nd shift. The role involves picking/packing, inspecting, and shipping merchandise to customers. It requires accurate data entry via PC/RF, meeting production (UPH) and quality (IQA) standards, and collaborating with team members on process improvements and cost reductions. The associate will apply basic skills and procedural knowledge within their assigned work area, report to work as scheduled, and complete other duties as assigned. Flexibility to assist in any merchandise processing area during busy periods is necessary.
Requirements
- Previous PC/RF experience preferred; basic keyboarding skills; computer literate (knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word)
- Distribution center experience preferred
- Basic math skills
- Good hand/eye coordination
- Ability to work independently or in team as assigned
- Quality conscious and detail oriented
- Flexibility - may be required to work in other areas, overtime or extended hours
- Understand and follow verbal or written instructions
- Lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend, stoop and climb for up to 10 hours at a time
- Climb stairs
- Stand for duration of work shift and walk/move continuously
- Work around moving machinery/equipment
- Adjust to climate changes; hot and cold extremes may occur in warehouse
- Perform frequent/reoccurring movement (folding, hanging clothing, wrapping, packing, closing, ticketing, etc.)
- Lift up to 50 pounds several times per day; weight requirements may vary within work areas; perform overhead lifting as necessary
- Work comfortably on open platform/loft areas that are elevated to a second or third story level
