About The Position

The Merchandise department is looking for enthusiastic team players who are comfortable working in fast-paced environments and eager to generate revenue by conducting sales transactions in an immersive themed environment. These roles will positively impact our guests’ experiences by delivering and selling exciting and fun products. The available positions are Sales Associate and Stocker. Sales Associates will provide an interactive guest experience through suggestive sales techniques and product demonstrations. Stockers will ensure that merchandise carts are show-ready for guests and Team Members by stocking outdoor merchandise carts, checking in product, and assisting fellow Team Members. Both roles require comfort working late nights, the ability to stand for long periods, and the ability to lift and/or move between 30 and 50 pounds. Some positions require working outdoors in all weather conditions. Maintaining a clean work environment with the use of cleaning chemicals, handling cash in sales transactions, and understanding/participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities are also required.

Requirements

Comfortable working late nights
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift and or move between 30 and 50 pounds.
Working outdoors in all weather conditions (select positions).
Maintaining a clean work environment with use of cleaning chemicals.
Handling cash in sales transactions.
The ability to understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
The ability to perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Provides an interactive guest experience through the utilization of suggestive sales techniques and product demonstrations in a positive and outgoing manner.
Processes merchandise sales and returns using cash register; Wraps and bags merchandise; Handles cash, credit card transactions, travelers’ checks and discounts.
Stocks and retrieves merchandise and supplies.
Maintains sales floor or carts appearance standards by cleaning floor surface, dusting counters and displays using cloths, brooms, brushes and/or cleaning agents.
Monitor stock levels and keep management informed to ensure appropriate inventory count.
Receive and process shipments from warehouse delivery, vendors, and transfer locations.
Stock assigned locations, ensuring appearance standards.
Maintain stockrooms in a clean and organized fashion, partnering with management as needed.
Assist on sales floor to ensure positive guest experience.
Process damaged product, conduct year-end inventories, and periodic cycle counts to ensure accurate levels.
