About The Position

The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; processes customer purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; prepares and merchandises products for the sales floor; and participates in store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. Other duties may be assigned. This is a temporary, part-time position at the Marshalls store in Bennington, Vermont. Responsibilities

Deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following customer experience principles.
Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.

Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
