Seasonal Merchandise Associate Part Time
About The Position
The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; processes customer purchases and returns accurately; promotes credit and loyalty programs; prepares merchandise for the sales floor; and participates in store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. The associate also follows company procedures, labor laws, and policies, and may perform other duties as assigned. This is a seasonal, part-time position at the HomeGoods store at 12343 Seal Beach Blvd., Seal Beach, California. The starting pay range is $16.90–$17.40 per hour, with actual starting pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers.
- Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards, and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
- Give and receive recognition and constructive feedback.
- Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
