About The Position
The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers and applying the company’s customer experience principles. The role also maintains a clean, organized, and safe store environment while following operational, merchandise, labor, and loss-prevention standards. Associates may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The position includes customer-service and checkout duties, promoting credit and loyalty programs, processing merchandise for the sales floor, and maintaining merchandising, recovery, and cleanliness standards. Associates support store culture, safety awareness, and shrink-reduction efforts, and perform other duties as assigned. The starting pay range is USD $13.25 to $13.75 per hour; actual starting pay depends on factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
