Temporary Part time Merchandise Associate
About The Position
The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may include cross-training in multiple store areas to meet business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; accurately processes customer purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; prepares merchandise for the sales floor; and participates in store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities
- Engage and interact with customers to deliver a highly satisfying customer experience.
- Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
