About The Position

The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience through customer engagement and interaction, while maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; applies customer-experience practices with internal and external customers; and performs sales-floor, register, merchandise-processing, recovery, and store-maintenance tasks according to company procedures. The position also supports store safety and shrink-reduction goals and performs other duties as assigned.

The starting pay range is USD $13.25 to $13.75 per hour. Actual starting pay depends on factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. Benefits are subject to applicable plan terms and eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Role-model established customer-experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
