About The Position

The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience through engagement with customers and by maintaining a clean, organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple areas to support business needs. Associates uphold customer experience practices, contribute to a positive store culture, accurately handle purchases and returns, promote credit and loyalty programs, process merchandise for the sales floor, and support store recovery, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and embodying customer experience principles.
Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
