About The Position

The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience through engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role adheres to operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained across multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate models established customer experience practices, supports a positive store culture, processes customer purchases and returns, promotes credit and loyalty programs, and follows merchandising procedures. The role also includes preparing merchandise for the sales floor, participating in store recovery and cleanliness, supporting shrink-reduction and safety programs, and following applicable labor laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

Deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and embodying customer experience principles.
Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
