About The Position
The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience through engagement and interaction with customers, while maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. Associates help uphold a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect, and provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback. The position also supports store safety, shrink-reduction goals, and compliance with labor laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards, and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
