About The Position

As a member of Boscov’s merchant team, the Merchandise Allocator coordinates with Merchants on various functions of the buying office. The role focuses on developing strategies to maximize stock efficiency and drive sales, partnering with merchants on planning and forecasting, managing replenishment models, and evaluating assortment performance with buyers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
• Prior retail allocation experience or equivalent retail experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Hyperion, Arthur Planning, and JDA.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
• Consistently seek ways to improve processes and share ideas with the team.
• Ability to work with merchants on business analysis to maximize sales.

Responsibilities

• Develop and propose actionable strategies to maximize stock efficiency and drive sales.
• Partner with multiple merchants to develop pre-season plans and quarterly forecasts.
• Manage the replenishment system by creating and maintaining model stocks.
• Work with buyers to evaluate assortment performance and recommend additions to or deletions from replenishment-system merchandise.
