About The Position

The Part Time Merch Associate at TJ Maxx is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. Duties include cashiering, promoting credit and loyalty programs, processing merchandise for the sales floor, merchandising, store recovery, cleanliness, safety awareness, and supporting shrink-reduction goals. The role also includes providing and accepting recognition and constructive feedback, following labor laws and company policies, and performing other duties as assigned. The position is at TJ Maxx Store 0797 in Lynchburg, Virginia, and pays $13.50 to $14.00 per hour at starting, with actual pay based on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Ring customer purchases and returns accurately and provide correct change according to operating procedures.

• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs and in safety awareness.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
