About The Position

The Merch Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean, organized store. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; processes customer purchases and returns accurately; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and prepares and maintains merchandise according to company procedures. The role also involves store recovery, cleanliness, safety awareness, shrink reduction, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
