About The Position

Elford is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent with a strong electrical construction background to lead and coordinate MEP field operations on complex commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for overseeing electrical systems while coordinating all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with Project Managers, owners, engineers, architects, trade partners, and field teams, you'll play a key role in driving successful project execution from start to finish.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of commercial construction experience with a strong emphasis on electrical systems.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Superintendent, MEP Superintendent, or electrical field leadership role.
  • Experience coordinating MEP systems on commercial, healthcare, industrial, education, manufacturing, data center, or multifamily projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, low voltage, fire alarm, testing, and commissioning.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and plumbing systems with the ability to coordinate all MEP trades.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with construction technology and standard computer applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all electrical construction activities, including power distribution, lighting, low voltage, fire alarm, and specialty electrical systems.
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) trades to ensure efficient sequencing and successful project execution.
  • Promote and enforce Elford's safety culture while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage subcontractors, field personnel, materials, equipment, and project logistics.
  • Ensure all MEP work is completed in accordance with project plans, specifications, schedules, codes, and quality standards.
  • Partner with Project Managers to maintain project schedules, budgets, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Build strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Mentor field personnel and foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing project team.
