About The Position

The Commercial Plumbing Project Manager leads commercial and industrial plumbing and process piping projects from preconstruction through final closeout. The role oversees project execution, financial performance, field teams, and client relationships, taking ownership of planning, coordination, delivery, and completion.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of project management experience in commercial or industrial plumbing construction.
• Demonstrated success managing commercial plumbing and/or process piping projects.
• Experience working for a plumbing contractor, mechanical contractor, or MEP subcontractor.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, construction drawings, specifications, and installation methods.
• Proven ability to manage project schedules, budgets, procurement, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and subcontractors.
• Ability to take full ownership of projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and client management skills.
• Direct commercial or industrial plumbing construction project management experience is required; residential-only project management and roles limited to MEP coordination or administrative support do not meet the requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution for commercial plumbing and process piping installations.
• Direct field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain productivity, quality, and project timelines.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders to resolve technical and scope-related issues.
• Manage procurement schedules, material deliveries, equipment, and field resources.
• Track project costs, billing, budgets, and change orders to protect profitability.
• Coordinate with general contractors, engineers, clients, and inspectors to address project needs and maintain clear communication.
• Lead progress meetings, resolve construction challenges, and manage inspections, commissioning, punch lists, and project closeout.
